✅ Happy Rural and Nomadic Communities Day – 7 October
🔹 Rural and nomadic communities represent far more than a way of life; they are a valuable part of our identity, culture, indigenous knowledge, and the living heritage of our land.
🔹 Across Tabas UNESCO Global Geopark, villages and local communities have developed a deep connection with nature, creating remarkable examples of coexistence between people and the natural environment — from agriculture, palm groves, and livestock farming to valuable traditional arts and handicrafts such as mat weaving, carpet weaving, basket weaving, and kilim weaving.
🔹 Sustainable development of a geopark has no meaning without the presence, participation, and empowerment of local communities. Villagers and nomadic communities are guardians of an important part of the natural and cultural heritage of this land and are among the most valuable assets for sustainable development.
🔹 We sincerely extend our warmest congratulations on Rural and Nomadic Communities Day to all dear villagers and nomadic communities, especially the respected people of the villages of Tabas County. We wish them prosperity, good health, success, and blessed days ahead.
