✅The first geotourism event in Northeast Iran

🔷 The first geotourism event in Northeast Iran was held in Mashhad with the participation of provincial and national managers, the Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Organization, the president and professors of Ferdowsi University, the president of the Northeast Geology and Mineral Exploration Organization, president of Iranian Global Geoparks Network, directors of the Tabas and Aras UNESCO Global Geoparks, students, enthusiasts and experts in the field of geosciences, tourism, and private sector activists.

🔹Introducing geosites in the northeastern region, examining the opportunities and challenges of geotourism in Iran, educating and training geotourism guides, and examining the process of registering a geopark and its requirements were among the focuses of this event.
