Visit by Members of the South Khorasan Province Mining Engineering Organization to the Visitor Center and Museum of Tabas UNESCO Global Geopark

According to the Public Relations Office of Tabas UNESCO Global Geopark, members of the South Khorasan Province Mining Engineering Organization visited Tabas UNESCO Global Geopark, including its Visitor Center and Geopark Museum.

During the visit, a Geopark expert introduced the geological, natural, and tourism potential and characteristics of the region. The expert also explained the Geopark’s objectives, mission, activities, and achievements in the fields of geoheritage conservation, education, Earth science promotion, and sustainable economic development.

The visitors also became familiar with some of the region’s remarkable geological attractions and specimens, as well as the role of the Geopark in introducing and protecting Tabas’s valuable geological heritage.

This visit provided an opportunity to showcase the Geopark’s potential and strengthen cooperation and interaction between specialized organizations in the fields of mining and geology.
