Educational and Cultural Visit by Rahneshan Association Members to the Tabas UNESCO Global Geopark Visitor Center and Museum

Members of the Rahneshan Association of Tabas visited the Tabas UNESCO Global Geopark Visitor Center and Museum to enhance their understanding of the region’s geotourism, cultural, historical, and geological values, as well as the concept of a UNESCO Global Geopark.

During the visit, the Visitor Center experts introduced the history of the Geopark’s establishment, its outstanding geological features, the region’s geosites, rock and fossil collections, and other geological exhibits displayed in the museum. They also explained the Geopark’s role in conserving natural and cultural heritage, promoting sustainable development, and supporting the economic well-being of local communities.

Educational and cultural programs such as this play an important role in raising public awareness of geological heritage, fostering a culture of environmental conservation, and strengthening community participation in promoting the unique values and potential of the Tabas UNESCO Global Geopark.
