🐆 The Cheetah in the Silent Frames of Naybandan

✅ September 1 — National Iranian Cheetah Day — is an opportunity to remember the value of one of Iran’s most important natural heritages: the Asiatic cheetah, a species whose survival is closely tied to the protection of its habitats.

🔹 The images presented here are camera-trap captures of the Iranian (Asiatic) cheetah at the Naybandan Wildlife Refuge geosite, within the territory of Tabas UNESCO Global Geopark. These frames, captured without human presence or interference, offer a glimpse into moments of this precious wild cat’s life in its natural habitat.

🔸 The Naybandan Wildlife Refuge geosite is one of Iran’s valuable wildlife habitats and an important stronghold for the Asiatic cheetah in the eastern part of the country. Here, geological diversity, natural habitats, and wildlife come together to form part of the unique values of Tabas UNESCO Global Geopark.

🔹 Every image is more than just a photograph;
it is a sign of the continued presence of a living heritage in the land of Iran.

🔸 On National Iranian Cheetah Day, let us strive to protect its habitat; because protecting the cheetah, above all, means protecting its home.

🔺 The cheetah must remain in the wild landscapes of Iran;
in Naybandan, in Tabas, and throughout all of its remaining habitats.
