This year, the world marks Earth Day under the theme “Clean Energy: A Remedy for the Wounds of the Earth,” emphasizing the vital need to transition toward green energy sources and inviting us once again to reflect on the ways we live and use the planet’s resources.

At the Tabas UNESCO Global Geopark, we believe that protecting the Earth depends not only on geological knowledge, but also on a shift in our lifestyle — from the kind of energy we consume to the way we interact with the nature that breathes within the heart of the desert.

Let us, guided by science, respect for nature, and inspiration from the planet’s beauty, take meaningful steps — however small, yet lasting — to reduce the harm to our Mother Earth and help heal her wounds.
