🔷 According to the Public Relations Office of Tabas UNESCO Global Geopark, a cleanup event was held at the Golshan Garden geosite with the participation of local officials to mark International Plastic Bag Free Day.
🔹 The Tabas UNESCO Global Geopark organized this event to raise public awareness about the harmful effects of plastic waste on the environment. The cleanup was carried out with the involvement of local officials, environmental activists, and volunteers.
🔹 Aimed at promoting a culture of reduced plastic use and protecting the region’s natural and touristic heritage, the participants collected litter left throughout the Golshan Garden geosite, taking an effective step toward preserving natural beauty and improving environmental hygiene.
🔹 Officials present at the event emphasized the need to reduce the use of single-use plastics and encouraged the public to adopt sustainable alternatives in order to help reduce environmental pollution.
🔹 The event was held in collaboration with the County Department of Environmental Protection and attended by the mayor, the CEO of Parvadeh Coal Company, the director of Golshan Garden, and the CEO of the Tabiat Paydar Institute.
🔸 Golshan Garden Geosite, as one of the region’s most popular natural and tourist attractions, requires special care and attention to continue welcoming tourists and nature lovers in the future.
