🔷According to the Public Relations Office of the Tabas UNESCO Global Geopark, the Director of the Tabas UNESCO Global Geopark, while commemorating World Food Day, described this occasion as an opportunity to reflect on our dietary habits, appreciate divine blessings, and promote public health.
🔹Referring to the rich cultural heritage and culinary diversity of the Tabas region, he stated:
“World Food Day reminds us of the great value of divine blessings and the vital role of healthy nutrition in the vitality and well-being of societies. On this day, we have the chance to take a deeper look at our food culture and honor the efforts of farmers, breadwinners, and all those women and men who lovingly enrich Iranian dining tables.”
🔹Dr. Sheibani added: “Despite its desert climate, the city of Tabas is a land blessed with abundance, where people—through wisdom and harmonious coexistence with nature—have cultivated an authentic and healthy food culture with deep roots and rich traditions.”
🔹The Director of the Tabas UNESCO Global Geopark continued:
“Simplicity, health, moderation, and respect for divine blessings have always been central to the culinary traditions of Tabas. The use of natural ingredients and the avoidance of waste are inseparable parts of the local lifestyle, and the people of this region have always strived to prepare healthy and nutritious food using local products and the resources of their environment.”
🔹He went on to say that on this meaningful day, “we should pay more attention than ever to the importance of healthy nutrition, the reduction of food waste, and the support of local producers. The authentic food culture of Tabas can serve as an inspiring model for achieving sustainable and environmentally friendly nutrition.”
🔹In conclusion, Dr. Sheibani, Director of the Tabas UNESCO Global Geopark, emphasized the importance of promoting proper nutritional habits, preserving local culinary heritage, and supporting local producers. He added:
