✅ The 3rd Palm and Paddy Festival Held at the Ezmighan Paddy Fields Geosite
🔷According to the Public Relations of Tabas UNESCO Global Geopark, the third cultural and tourism Palm and Paddy Festival of Ezmighan was held with great enthusiasm by locals, officials, and tourists at the Paddy Fields Geosite of Ezmighan village.
🔹The event was attended by the Member of Parliament representing the region, the Deputy Governor and Special Governor of Tabas County, the Deputy Director of the Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Department of South Khorasan Province, the Director of the Tabas UNESCO Global Geopark, the Head of the County’s Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Office, the Head of the Housing Foundation of the county, along with a group of provincial and local managers, tourists, and nature enthusiasts.
🔹The main purpose of this festival was to celebrate the paddy harvest and to honor and preserve the village’s ancient customs and traditions for future generations — a ceremony that symbolizes unity, hard work, and the deep bond between the people of Ezmighan and nature.
🔹A variety of programs were held during the festival, including live demonstrations of traditional paddy harvesting and milling, local music performances, recognition of exemplary farmers, awarding winners of the photography contest, displays of traditional customs and rituals, traditional pomegranate paste preparation, local bread baking, and cooking demonstrations by village women.
🔹One of the highlights of this event was the unveiling of the official registration plaque of the Palm and Paddy Festival in the national calendar of tourism events, marking an important step in promoting the region’s cultural and natural heritage.
🔹The Palm and Paddy Festival, by celebrating agricultural heritage, showcasing the attractions of the Tabas UNESCO Global Geopark, promoting sustainable tourism, and reviving authentic local traditions, created an atmosphere filled with joy, color, and native customs for all participants.
