Peykuh village, 92 km away from Tabas city, is one of the most beautiful and unique areas with a wide range of natural and cultural – historical geosites in Tabas geopark. Badlands of Peykuh village are among the most beautiful geosites, located in the eastern part of the village and between the mountain and the plain. These badlands are formed in marl deposits on red, light gray, yellow, and even blue color spectrum with an age of 175 to 228 million years (Late Triassic-Early Jurassic period), creating a unique landscape. The presence of mountainous landscapes, evergreen date groves, and the historical and valuable texture of Peykuh along this geosite, has doubled its beauty which attracts the attention of every viewer.
