🔷️ Faculty member of the Geology Department of Isfahan University in cooperation with Tabas UNESCO Global Geopark, Natural History Museum of Senckenberg and Payam-e Noor University of Tabas Center succeeded in studying and publishing the results of their studies in the International Journal of Marine and Petroleum Geology.

This research was carried out in the south-east mountains of Halvan. The results of this research are very important for the careful evaluation and analysis of paleo-sedimentary environments and the tectonic-stratigraphic significance of coal-bearing sequences of the Shamshak Group (Upper Triassic to Middle Jurassic) for the geodynamic evolution of the Cimmerian continent, formation of organic materials as well as understanding the geodynamics and history of the Mesozoic of Iran and the Middle East in the field of Cimmerian orogeny.
