Discovery and transfer of 485 million years fossil to Tabas

?️ According to the public relations report of Tabas UNESCO Global Geopark, Dr. Sheibani announced the discovery of a rare and valuable fossil sample in this area and said: The experts of this UNESCO Global Geopark in their recent studies succeeded in discovering a rare piece of stone (about 3 m long and 2 m wide) from the Cruziana trace fossil, belonged to creatures called trilobites. The age of this very valuable specimen is 485 million years, and in order to protect and better introduce the geological history and attractions of this region of Iran, this trace fossil has been moved to vicinity of the Tabas UNESCO Global Geopark Museum.
