✅ Tabas UGGp and the County Mountaineering Association Sign a Memorandum of Understanding

🔹 A joint step towards education, sports, and the protection of Tabas’s natural and geological heritage

🔹 According to the Public Relations Office of Tabas UNESCO Global Geopark, coinciding with National Mountaineering Day and Sports Week, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Tabas UNESCO Global Geopark and the County Mountaineering and Sport Climbing Association. The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Sheibani, Director of Tabas UNESCO Global Geopark, and Mr. Ebrahimi, Head of the County Mountaineering and Sport Climbing Association.

🔹 The memorandum aims to establish and expand educational, sporting, and conservation cooperation, with a particular emphasis on promoting the cultural, historical, geological, and natural values of the region and fostering a culture of protecting geosites and mountainous areas.

🔹 Key areas of cooperation include developing joint educational and awareness-raising activities, promoting responsible mountaineering, and leveraging the capacities of both organizations to protect the region’s natural and geological heritage.

🔹 This initiative represents a step towards connecting sports and nature with social responsibility and the conservation of our Earth’s valuable heritage. It also lays the groundwork for more effective local community participation in achieving the sustainable development goals of the Geopark.
