Geosites of Kalmard box folding and Sardar Valley (Kal-e-Sardar)
were registered in the list of national – natural monuments of Iran on the 1th February.

?️ According to the Tabas Geopark Public Relations, on the first day of the February 2022, the Kalmard box folding and Kal-e-Sardar geosites were registered in the list of national – natural monuments of Iran by the Tabas Geopark and the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of South Khorasan Province. In order to conservation the geological and unique monuments of this area for the future, with the suggestion of this geopark, the process of preparing the dossier of Kalmard box folding and Kal-e-Sardar was done.

?️These two natural monuments are among the most important geosites of Tabas Geopark, which will be introduced to the world in the near future with the Global registration of Tabas Geopark.
