Korit Ceramic Studio was established in 2016 in form of an entrepreneurship project. Integrating domestic elements and local motives in the art of ceramic making, it aimed at producing pottery and ceramic objects for the first time in Tabas, creating job for women in the village while emboldening tourism features of Tabas, Korit village and their surrounding areas. Presently, near ten people are directly and indirectly involved in various stages of the production line, such as designing, modeling, molding, casting, glazing and decorating. Not only are Korit ceramic products displayed in different handicrafts exhibitions at different corners of the country, but also the specific patterns, colors and glazes produced by Korit designers are extremely popular among a range of customers especially in Tehran. Korit ceramic wares are now offered both on social media marketing platforms and in No. 23, Arghavan Mall, The Great Golestan Bazar, Mohandes Shakibi boulevard, Tabas city, South Khorasan Province.
