Opening ceremony of the second secretariat for the registration of Qanat civilization
and the first secretariat for agricultural tourism in Tabas County

?️This meeting was held in the presence of the special governor of the county, the deputy director general of cultural heritage, handicrafts and tourism of South Khorasan province, the mayor of Tabas and other officials.

?️The Tabas Geopark was also present at the meeting as a member of the Secretariat for the Registration of Qanat Civilization, the city’s top managers and the heads of the city’s higher education centers.

?️Tabas county has 256 Qanats, of which 191 Qantas with a flow rate of 755 liters per second are active. Also, the total length of the aqueducts is 760 km.
